智能型手机和平板计算机有百百种，但很有可能你的第一「摸」的印象，其实都是来自于 Corning 的 Gorilla Glass。这种耐摔、防刮、又透光度好的玻璃材质，已经出现在各种产品上，但 Corning 认为自己还可以做得更好 -- 资深副总裁兼总经理 James Steiner 提到在即将发表的第二版中，Corning 针对愈来愈薄的新一代手机和平板做了强化，想来应该是 Gorilla Glass 2 将会更薄的意思？无论如何，这种东西光看新闻稿是很难了解到底进展在哪里的，反正 CES 没有多久就要粉墨登场了，到时候直接去 Corning 的摊位，就知道 Gorilla Glass 2 有多强啰！
